Google just announced the launch of a cool redesign for Gmail in April and we know most of you are eager to try it out! After all the cool, new features sound absolutely amazing!
Read our complete guide on what they are and how to use them, if you don’t know what we’re talking about.
However, Google is releasing the new changes slowly so your Gmail may just look the same. So, if you’re bored with the old look and functionalities, here is how you can speed things up.
For G Suite Clients
In this situation, all you have to do is ask your System Administrator (if you’re an Onsite Helper customer, that’s us) to enable the option from the Admin Console.
- Go to admin.google.com and sign in with an account that has G Suite administrator access
- Click Apps
- Click G Suite
- Click Gmail
- Click User Settings
- Under the Early Adopter Program, there is the option to ‘allow all users access to the new Gmail UI and features‘.
Once this option is ticked, you users need to enable it in their Gmail.
- Log into gmail.com
- go to Settings (cog icon in top right hand corner)
- click on the ‘Try New Gmail’ option. The new interface will load instantly.
If, for any reasons, you don’t like the new interface, you can switch it back from Options and select the Revert to Classic option.
For Personal Accounts
If you are using the personal/free version of Gmail, the new version may not yet be available for you. Still, you can verify this by clicking on the Settings cog, in the upper-right corner of your Gmail window. If the ‘Try the new Gmail’ option is available, click on it.
If this option is not there yet, be patient – it will show up soon enough!
