G Suite Business, Unlimited Storage, Email Retention & Account-Wide Search
This morning Google announced their latest product Gsuite Business. G Suite Business is a new premium offering for businesses that includes all the services in G Suite plus unlimited storage, advanced audit reporting, new security controls and Google Vault. Previously, Google Vault was only available to Google App Gmail. Google Vault is a step up from normal backup platforms as it is designed for businesses to retain, archive, search and export the business’s emails and documents for eDiscovery and compliance requirements. As Google Vault is now part of G Suite, you can have a backup of your Google Drive documents. GSuite Business has a number of additional features including unlimited document storage in Google Drive. Features available only to G Suite Business customers include:
- Unlimited storage for all employees, including files up to 5 TB in size.
- New audit reporting so administrators can see activity like moving, deleting or sharing of files within or outside the company. Also, an audit API is present that makes this data available to developers.
- New security controls so administrators can set sync client, offline, Drive app and add-on settings at the Organizational Unit (OU)-level.
- Includes Google Apps Vault, which has been expanded to provide search for all content stored in Drive.
